The packing

What to bring with you for this coming 2 weeks? Difficult choice: have a small luggage and be mobile, but you may have to give up some comfort - or to bring as much stuff with you as possible and then stress before all check-ins, curse when you have to move 3-4 pieces of luggage at the same time and become fully exhausted from any travelling.
Well, i havenot made up my mind yet, but i will definitely bring these stuffs with me:
  • sunglasses: it supposed to be a lovely weather in Japan: no monsoon, no taifun, no rain, just sun!
  • laptop + with wireless adapter: to share the pictures with you! :)
  • Tourist guide of Japan - to pick up some basic Japenese during the 12 hour flight from Frankfurt to Tokyo
  • Presents: all kind of EU gadgets (thanks for this to the EP),  chocolate (what else from Belgium?), Budapest guide (we will celebrate the 140th anniversary in 2009 the estabilishing of diplomatic relationships between Japan and Austria-Hungary)
  • adapter for the electricity
  • camera with some extra batteries
  • the most important currency reserve of the world: Hungarian Forint (I always meet somebody who - like me - collects monies/currencies from different parts of the world)
  • some surviving buscuits - thx to Ronald
  • and credit card - although Japan is supposed to be not as expensive as it is expected
I hope i have not forgotten anything!

Here it comes

Dear All,

this site is dedicated to to Study Tour to Japan 2008. We are among the few lucky ones who were selected for this year by the Japenese Embassy to visit Japan.

The aim of this blog is to share as many pictures and information on this trip as possible so that you can follow up what's happening with us next weeks starting from 20 October 2008.
If nothing else, hopefully we will be sharing a lot of pictures during the trip and will put the descriptions in place after we are back to Brussels.

Enjoy!
